Does config.pl not do it for you? I've written mine to query a MySQL database based on MAC address to get configuration parameters. Mine are fully automated other than telling the machine Yes, partition and Yes, format the drive (I'm paranoid about leaving the boot CD in the drive, I guess). So it's not totally automated, but it only takes me about 2 minutes to boot the computer, type yes a couple times and move on to the next machine.
