You need the conv parameter, because it can happen that the file get
trunced and so it becomes unusable.

I dont know how much you have changed, but it might be that the Z_PASS
is not set up / exported correctly. If you use my boot cd and the
unattended-nodosemu profile all should work fine. I have set up 3 other
installations that work with this combination.

Just try to make the steps like described by hand..... Maybe than you
can find the error. Maybe you can give me some error messages?
