Ah, so it's not a forcedeth NIC. I do know I have a Broadcom NIC and an Intel Wifi adapter. I've executed lspci and received the following output:
00:00.0 Host bridge: Intel Corp.: Unknown device 2a00 (rev 0c) 00:01.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corp.: Unknown device 2a01 (rev 0c) 00:1a.0 USB controller: Intel Corp.: Unknown device 2834 (rev 02) 00:1a.1 USB controller: Intel Corp.: Unknown device 2835 (rev 02) 00:1a.7 USB controller: Intel Corp.: Unknown device 2834 (rev 02) 00:1b.0 Class 0403: Intel Corp.: Unknown device 284b (rev 02) 00:1c.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corp.: Unknown device 283f (rev 02) 00:1c.1 PCI bridge: Intel Corp.: Unknown device 2841 (rev 02) 00:1c.5 PCI bridge: Intel Corp.: Unknown device 2849 (rev 02) 00:1d.0 USB Controller: Intel Corp.: Unknown device 2830 (rev 02) 00:1d.1 USB Controller: Intel Corp.: Unknown device 2831 (rev 02) 00:1d.2 USB Controller: Intel Corp.: Unknown device 2832 (rev 02) 00:1d.7 USB Controller: Intel Corp.: Unknown device 2836 (rev 02) 00:1e.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corp. 82801 Mobile PCI Bridge (rev f2) 00:1f.0 ISA bridge: Intel Corp.: Unknown device 2815 (rev 02) 00:1f.1 IDE interface: Intel Corp.: Unknown device 2850 (rev 02) 00:1f.2 IDE interface: Intel Corp.: Unknown device 2828 (rev 02) 00:1f.3 SMBus: Intel Corp.: Unknown device 283e (rev 02) 01:00.0 VGA Compatible controller: nVidia Corporation: Unknown device 042b (rev a1) 03:01.0 CardBus bridge: 02 Micro, Inc.: Unknown device 7135 (rev 21) 03:01.4 Firewire (IEEE 1394): 02 Micro, Inc.: Unknown device 00f7 (rev 02) 09:00.0 Ethernet controller: Broadcom Corporation: Unknown device 1673 (rev 02) 0c:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corp.: Unknown device 4222 (rev 02) I know for a fact that Broadcom is the LAN and Intel is the WLAN. I guess I will need a Linux/Windows ISO with boot image so I can burn a CD with the latest drivers to support the new Broadcom drivers?? I've tried booting with the DOS CD and choosing both Broadcom choices with no luck either. Any ideas? You can check if the module is there by typing: ls -l /lib/modules/2.6.23.1/kernel/drivers/net/fo* Are you shure its a forcedeth NIC?
