Windows installation Is a bloody mess .. and the same is the documentation :-/ According to: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/windows2000serv/reskit/prork/prbc_cai_gumy.mspx?mfr=true Winnt.exe Command Syntax "" /T:tempdrive Directs Setup to place temporary files on the specified drive and to install Windows 2000 on that drive. If you do not specify a location, Setup attempts to locate a drive for you. "" Other documentation says its "the active partition" that get used. Thats probably the partition with the boot flag..? I have not tested this, andthe only way to find out is to test it, I guess.. For the record: Unattended does not provide WINNT.EXE with the /t parameter (after a quick look on install.pl) And, Im not using DOS(emu)/WINNT.EXE any more .. > could not find some files (admparse.dll.mui, advpack.dll.mui, > extmgr.dll.mui and many others). I can't find that files on the CD. but > I do have other similar files (i.e.: ADMPARSE.DLL.MU_ ) > *Edit* > I just found that admparse.dll.mui is inside ADMPARSE.DLL.MU_, > extmgr.dll.mui inside EXTMGR.DLL.MU_ and so on... Its the long filename problem again.. WINNT.EXE, is running under DOS(emu) so we have the old 8.3 restrictions.
