sorry to repost but not sure if it went through! hello everyone,
i have an xpsp3 machine acting as my unattended server. iam using unattended version 4.7. when i boot with the linux cd, i get an error after the "by jove" remark: smb_proc_readx_data: offset is larger than smb_readx_max_pad or negative! smb_proc_readx_data: -59 > 64 || -59 < 0 smb_add_request: request [cff6be80, mid=1206] timed out! cp: read error: input/output error ip address: x.x.x.x mac address xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx odd. c/h/s does not multiply out to 78177792 then it goes through asking me questions, and opens up the windows setup screen. things appear to work for a bit (although quite slowly), then the windows setup screen gets slowly flooded with the above smb errors. eventually setup errors out copying a file and will not continue. this error is reproduced if i switch servers to a server 2003 machine, and if i switch client machines. i have redownloaded unattended and reburned the boot cd. i have also tried accessing the share as a domain user and a local user to no avail. i also can not find hardly any info on this error in conjunction with unattended. any help is greatly appreciated! any thoughts? thanks for your help! ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ unattended-info mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/unattended-info
