yes, I fixed the network connectivity issue by manuall ip'ing eth5. One step 
that i was missing was to do mount.cifs to mount the remote share to the z 
folder.
after that i was able to run install. pl script. Right now I'm trying to 
compile my own kernel image with maek allyesconfig which compile everything 
into kernel. Then I plan to put it in place of bzImage. Will that work.?
