Thanks for answer! Again.
I have missed important part about oem mass storage driver!
I have reread Wiki and recognize that even I'm using unattended system,
for boot driver I should have to press F6 button at the start! - silly me.
Installation goes much better - at least I have seen that it is listed my
driver: "Silicon Image Sil 3124 SoftRAID5 Controller for Windows XP/Server
2003"
I have started trust to that it will work, but not - I have error message
that:
"File from the manufacturer is damaged or invalid.
...
Files.SCSI.Si3124r5_XP"
Now what is the problem?
I was copied files from driver CD of manufacturer, directly to
install\os\xpsp3\$OEM$\TEXTMODE on my deployment server (running Debian
Squeeze) and when I have suspect copy problem, I have copied them to
floppy from this directory, using the same Linux.
I have checked the preparation (after try to install):
1. Directory /$1 /TEXTMODE (in root) are gone.
2. $win_nt$.~bt/$oem$/ - contain the drivers file, include txtsetup.oem
/$win_nt$.~ls
/$OEM$
$1
/drvscan
/1
...
/7
# pnp drivers - it should be good, use to be working
/TEXTMODE - contain the drivers file, include txtsetup.oem
/i386
/$OEM$ - empty
Driver files in $win_nt$.~bt/$oem$/ and /$win_nt$.~ls/$OEM$/TEXTMODE are
identical.
txtsetup.oem contain entries:
[Disks]
disk1 = "Silicon Image Sil 3124 SoftRAID 5 Driver Installation
Disk",\Si3124r5.sys,\
...
[Files.SCSI.Si3124r5_XP] ;installer complains about this section
driver = disk1,Si3124r5.sys, Si3124r5
driver = disk1.SiWinAcc.sys, SiFilter
inf = disk1,Si3124r5.inf
dll = disk1.SilSupp.cpl
inf = disk1,SIPPD.inf
catalog = disk1, Si3124r5.cat
May be this is the same problem as described in
http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg00107.html
I will try.
Any help would be highly appreciated!
Sincerely
tovis
