II thought I had posted about this some time ago but I never saw my message
or any replies. So I'm sorry if this is a repeat.

Would the unattended developers consider compiling the linux kernel on the
boot disk with speakup? Speakup is a screen reader for linux. The kernel has
to be patched and then recompiled for it to work. But if that was done, a
blind person could connect a speech synthesizer to a PC and then do a
Windows installation.
