Hello John,

I always had problems using unattended with specific scsi drivers.

That's why I'm altering the txtsetup.sif file to integrate drivers into an
existing windows xp/2003 source.

I've also tried using nLite to integrate those textmode drivers, but failed
in the process of doing so, but I've heard of people using it (maybe I'm
doing something wrong?).

For the network drivers I never had problems, because Unattended (and
Unattended-GUI) is using linux to copy all the necessary files to the local
hdd and start the textmode-setup (and later the gui-mode) there.

You just have to make sure, that the win32 driver is present, when you doing
any post-install stuff, which requires network access.

Hope I could be of any help,

Sebastian

Subject: [Unattended] unattended scripts

Hello, I was looking through this wiki
>>http://unattended.sourceforge.net/index.php<<

I am wondering how one deals with many , many different types of servers all
requiring different scsi and network drivers required for the OEM textmode
part of a windows 2003 installation? The iniatial setup of windows runs
and requires textmode drivers in order to inially find scsi hard drives and
or network adapters.

Do these scripts handle this somehow, if so how? Are all the entries for
all vendors put into one answer file?
