should check out - so thanks for the reference to Newkirk's new book. I'm
going to order it!
In the meantime - have you come across the new Stenhouse publication,
Readicide: How Schools Are Killing Reading and What You Can Do About It? Kelly
Gallagher is the author, with a foreward by Richard Allington. He's another
one who gets it!
