Because of OSHA regulations regarding the handling and disposal of lead paint, this can be rather expensive.
If you are doing this as a landlord, the city requires you to employ a PA-certified lead abatement contractor. If you’re acting as an owner-occupant, the city allows you to do the work on your own. They also offer a monthly free lead-abatement training course.
