I am not able to reproduce the problem on demand. I even tried what Kevin said and changed the directory name from "geronimo-tomcat7-javaee6-3.0.1" to "geronimo301" and did not have an consistent issue. The only time I got the same "DuplicateBundle" error again was the first start of Geronimo after the directory rename to "geronimo301". But after a second start of Geronimo the error did not appear. I flipped the name of the directory -- from short to long then back to short -- but could not get the error again. Whatever the cause, it seems to be something transient on my workstation.
