Could it be a compiler problem?

I just found this piece from someone with the same problem I'm facing:

I adjusted the kernel code to matrch the patch and now the UML
execution moves a little further.. but crashes anyway:

Also, I'm not using 4.6 but 4.5.2 instead... however the kernel worked
like a charm on maverick so it's pointing to a compiler version
problem... ain't that right?
