Hi Having set felix.config.properties, I tried running Felix when unjarred, and the system appears to hang, that is, after being prompted for a profile name, no further prompt appears. The spec says the framework is represented as the system bundle, as bundles appear to always be packaged as a Jar, I assumed that this is the reason why Felix is packaged as a Jar. If Felix wasn't a Jar, there would be no mainfest, no OSGi headers, and therefore it wouldn't be the system bundle. Apologies if my understanding is of this concept is completely wrong :-) Tom
