The in-built help is quick as a quick reminder or for quickly experimenting but the English one tends to be very out-of-date. In the Published Guides try the "Getting Started Guide"s chapter on getting started with macros. (free to download) If you let us know what you are trying to get the macro to do then someone here might be able to help. If it's just that you want to learn macro programming or convert existing skills then Andrew Pitonyak's guide to macro programming is apparently well worth the money.
