Tom, thanks for your responses. When I originally posted about the difficulty I was having downloading the installer, the user list gave me the impression that there couldn't be anything wrong with the downloader and I felt they pretty much blew off my inquiry. If I'd been directed to make a bug report at that time, I would have done it. It's been several weeks now and I'm not sure I recall the details at this point to file a bug report. I will take a look at the bug report link you provided and see what information is needed.

Thanks again for your interest.

Hi :)
Hmmm, that is not good news! Sorry about that! Is there any chance you could post a bug-report about it? A lot of this guide might not be relevant but please just try to make the best of it
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/BugReport
tehre is another page but i think the content is identical
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/BugReport
This sometimes happens with wikis as things get moved around but it usually gets tidied up at some point. I would go with the 1st of those links this time.
Regards from
Tom :)

My main computer is OSX and I use Firefox or Chrome. I think I was
using Firefox on OSX when I had the download problems on OSX. The
Windows computer was also using Chrome and/or Firefox.
