Hi.
You are correct.
If I want to keep the PDF with the document (for convenience when I have
many suppliers, manuals, datasheets) I might have a path that includes
the supplier (so I can find the documents and PDF) but a supplier name
which I don't want to disclose.
If the folders on a server, the path could include the server address
file:///home/steve/network/NAS/public/steve/ptsite/PT252Datasheet.pdf
and in time more information about our network than I want disclosed.
The path discloses something of the OS
Sending -> email as pdf discloses the least.
file:///tmp/mozilla_steve0/PT252Datasheet-1.pdf but is not the most
convenient. Exporting to a usb drive also discloses a minimal amount of
information, but again requires copying back to the document folder.

Hi,
I looked at the file properties in evince (Fedora 24) and Acrobat
Reader (Windows 10), and the path looks like the path to where the PDF
file is located (on my systems the path changes as I move the file
around), not the path of where the file was initially created. Unless
I am missing something?
I hope this helps.

Hi.
When you create a PDF in writer the PDF properties has the path to the PDF.
Is there a way to suppress this. I am not so keen on publicising
information on file system or server location.
