Hi Ady, That average (unless I'm wrong) is the number of sms's per second over the whole time bearerbox has been running - ie, it does not change if you suddenly send 10 messages in a 1 second..
In your case it means over the whole time bearerbox has been running, the average number of sms's received is 0.89 every second (ie - about 9 messages every 10 seconds). In most cases that average does not make a true representation of the actual connection speed to your operator. Cheers, Bill. > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Ady Wicaksono > Sent: 15 July 2005 16:03 > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Cc: users@kannel.org > Subject: asking about kannel SMS throughput > > I saw your posting on kannel mailing list about SMS throughput > I have problem with sms throughput, when testing kannel, > check this log : > > SMS: received 34032 (0 queued), sent 11444 (0 queued), store size 7538 > SMS: inbound 0.89 msg/sec, outbound 0.30 msg/sec > DLR: 7838 queued, using internal storage > > Why inbound message could reach 0.89 msg/sec (does it means > 89 messages > per second ?) > by outbound message only 0.30 (msg/sec) > > How to increase send sms speed (possibly without restarting > bearerbox?) ? > i don't make a limitation on throughput using "throughput" > parameters > at all. > > Thx > > -- > Regards, > Ady Wicaksono > HP: +628562208680 > > >
