Hi,
Thanks for the reply. So this means I have to change every phone who I want to MMS me? Can't I just use a GSM modem and accept it over the serial interface without changing any config on client deveices?
Thanks again,
Gareth

Hi,
http://mmsc is address of your server.
map-url = "http://ip_address/* http://localhost:1981/*"
Hi all,
I have my nokia 6230 set up over bluetooth to act as a modem. SMS works fine, but MMS do not get over the serial interface. I have read that you can not use an WAP push/ MMS capable phone for a modem as they intercept them. Is this the case?
In the archives, I have read that you must change the homepage (for a nokia 6230) in the settings to http://mmsc/ and then map it in the configuration file to
map-url = "http://mmsc/* http://localhost:1981/*"
I apologize for my lack of understanding, but should this really be http://mmsc or the address of my server? I don't really understand why I am changing this at all. If the data is coming over the GSM modem, then why should need an address? Is it just so the wapbox knows that it should forward this to mbuni? If this is the case, then do I have to change every mobile phone that I want to receive MMS from?
I feel like I am lacking that 1 piece of information that will provide clarity. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Gareth
