hi thomas, #1 the example contains a beans.xml (see src\main\webapp\WEB-INF\beans.xml) #2 your example doesn't work because you don't have a package. move your classes to a package of your choice and it will work. #3 you saw the warning because the jsf impl. gets the outcome and can't handle it -> the warning was correct
