Hi Jake, First of all glad to hear that OpenVZ led to adoption of Virtuozzo for your Linux infrastructure. As I've mentioned in the other thread we are still and continuous developing it but haven't managed communication with community well the last months. We and myself will improve it.

As we move forward, we are always evaluating what are the safest bets, and while I've favored openvz/virtuozzo since 2011, alternatives such as proxmox are looking increasingly viable, given the fact that openvz development appears to be stagnant. At present, openvz has features that are superior to those in proxmox, if they exist at all. Hopefully that lead won't be squandered. As I've mentioned before, my personal use of openvz led directly to the adoption of virtuozzo for our Linux infrastructure at a previous large employer, and I'd hate to see the free version wither away into irrelevance. I've been looking at openvz 8 & 9, and much as I want them to work, they don't seem to be viable. Thanks for any insight you can share. While openvz 7 has been getting updates, it seems openvz 8 is fairly static, and openvz 9 seems not ready for use. Is there an intent to continue support of openvz beyond version 7? Since openvz is a great advertisement for virtuozzo, it would be a shame if it faded away.
