You refer to the adoption, by the USA, of decimal currency (in 1793 I
think). Do you know if the USA was the first nation in the world to adopt
decimal currency, or was there any other nation who had done so earlier?

So far as I know, the USA was the first nation to adopt decimal currency. That was in 1786. France adopted the franc, with decimal sudivision, in 1793, further confirmed in 1795 by a law which specified that the franc would be divided into 10 décimes and the décime would be divided into 10 centimes
