I got a call today from Chuck Riley - http://chuckriley.org - asking me for a donation in his run for Oregon Senate District 15 (against Republican Party Oregon Senator Bruce Starr) because I had donated previously to his wife when she was running for office. I told him I would donate if he would support the legislation that I introduced (modelled on Hawaii HB36) Oregon LC44. He says he supports everyone using the same measurement system and that he would support Oregon LC44, so I donated fifty bucks (he asked me for a hundred). Mayby I am throwing my money away, but I hope not. I hope Chuck wins the election. I would encourage you to contact him and push him on the metric issue.
