i thought groff lj4 typesetter worked on my hp2575, but the latest runs
had problems with ligatures, fi, ff, fl and the apostrophe. in
particular, apostrophe is sent to the printer as \x92. setting ',lg 0'
turns off ligatures so ff, fi, fl are not sent as \x* characters. does
anyone know how to solve this 'ligature-related' problem without turning
off the ligatures?
