All you need is an SPST switch to accomplish about the same thing. I did
this mod to my 2000 max and noticed increased throttle response at lower
rpm. As far as HP is concerned, I am not sure. One of the best things
about this mod is that you can shut the boost off for riding on long trips
at higher speed without the boost coming on and also for rainy or slippery
