I've just got back from a ride on my stock 94 Vmax. Just for the heck of
it, I tried running
some regular gas (87 octane) (R+M)2 and I'm totally amazed ! My max is
running like
an entirely different bike, MUCH BETTER at lower rpms ...is this normal
? After looking
at my owners manual again I noticed that the minimum octane rating of 91
for my max
is a "RON" rating not the (R+M)2 that I see on all gas pumps ......
The minimum octane rating for the (R+M)2 method is 86 ..........the
cheap stuff runs MUCH
better in my stock engine.
