Do you guys think switching to one of those Odysey batteries would help? I
know you can't get past what the alternator puts out, but wouldn't a beefier
batt help?? The stock batt specs are pretty weak compared to others. The
info is on this site, under battery specs.

I installed Hotgrips with thermostat controller on my '99 Max.

They work real well, but don't expect to electrically start your Max after
running the grips on HIGH for an extended period of time.

The grips themselved are much more comfortable (and stickier) than the stock
grips. To install, the only mod necessary was to grinds some plastic off the
throttle sleeve - so the hotgrip would be flush. Otherwise the install was
very easy.
