I am currently running VBox 6.1.14 successfully on my 2012 MacBook Pro. Tried to install the latest Debial Bullseye and that comes up with an install error so figured I needed to install a later VBox version. Trying to install 6.1.28 results in an error from the installer that it encountered an error and "I need to contact the software manufacturer for assistance.” No other helpful message etc. as to why it happened. This pops up after the validate step in the install.
