Fine by me, although I'd prefer a C daemon myself, I do find php easier to read and to debug.

C is smaller, and leaner. Id rather have it in C than PHP, running spamassassin allready eats server resources cause of perl, lets not get a PHP deamon written that needs PHP to run.
