MDA with vpopmail is actually never qmail.
Except when using aliases that aren't stored in a MySQL table. And mailing lists, always.
qmail hands off delivery responsbilities to vdelivermail through the .qmail-default file in the domain's 'home directory'
So vdelivermail handles POP/IMAP mailboxes, and valiases (aliases stored in MySQL instead of .qmail-alias files).
