PLease run:

strace ./vadddomain <domain to add> <postmaster password>

and give us the output.

This procps stuff, can you provide me more info about it? It seems this
is the first case that it goes wrong.

How did you compile vpopmail, what flags, did you use an rpm? Did you
set any special cflags or anything of that sort?
