thanks for the reply. Most interesting. Half/Half water/vinegar?  Ill
have to give it a go.  I usually use the Veniard dyes, but they can be
problematical at times.  I found some Australian wool dyes awhile back
and very pleased with the results.  Try using a crock pot (flea markets
have them cheap) They work great.
Thanks for the tip on the feather dusters! Home Depot is just down the
road.
Deb: Do you know of a reliable source for Rhea feathers? (S. American
ostrich)
Im trying to make a sub for Quetal hackle. (see John Mclains #2 Blacker
fly).  
BTW, Im sorry if you were put off by the FFF site.  Ive had very good
results there and I even sold some IC to one new member. (which I was led
to by J. Mclain)..needless to say, John is quite enthused and dedicated
to this form.
