I had some color changing problems too (my skin as also blue). V4l generates (or is ov511 ?) bgr images, instead of rgb. So I just inverted the blue/green components and the image is perfect.
So what is the alternative to ov511 for the creative webcam ? It's very important for me to get good results under linux, otherwise the project will only be developed under windows.
