There is a way. ACARD do a SCSIDE Bridge Adapter that adapts ATAPI CD/CD-RW drives to SCSI. It's not all that expensive and, provided you flash it to the Mac firmware, it is totally transparent to the system. It comes with everything necessary to attach it to a Mac and will comfortably fti on the back of a CD drive. It's a little long for most hard disk bays but hey. I am currently using one behind the 40GB IDE Drive I mentioned earlier. Not only is it cheaper (although not per-drive) than a NuBus adapter, it's actually available here and now. If you are luck enough to have a NuBus Jackhammer card you can get an UltraWide version that works at 20MB/s. -- Mark Benson Vintage Macs List Nanny aka silicon_valley_pirate_uk (Yahoo!
