Hi all,

Last night my IIci turned off while I was using it. Bummer. There
was no power outtage or anything, it just powered off after running
for 15min or so. When I tried to reboot, the green power light
flickered but the Mac wouldn't kick on. I suspected the power supply,
but didn't have another to try. When I remove the Daystar Turbo 040
from the PDS slot, the Mac comes on just like normal. Bad Turbo card?
Maybe, maybe not. When I put the old cache card in the slot, the mac
has the same symptoms, flickering power light. When the cache card is
removed, it boots up fine again. I've reset the PRAM, etc to no avail.
She won't come up with a card in the PDS slot, period. Anyone ever
seen this behavior? I guess it could only be the mobo or power
supply, but I'd hate to have to buy both parts. . .

thanks,

Jeff M. Grant
