If your phone is in the case, the phone will charge up first followed by the battery. When discharging, the battery will discharge first followed by your phone. That’[s why the battery case is called smart. If you want to charge up both simultaneously, remove the phone from the case and plug both the phone and case into separate chargers. I get a full day of hard use from my phone/battery on a full charge. The status of all of your batteries, including active bluetooth devices, is in the control center. If your battery case no longer charges when you try to plug in the lightning connector, use a wooden tooth pick to remove lint and other junk from the port. I put my phone into my shirt pocket, and who knows whatever disgusting stuff falls in there. A soft bristle toothbrush also works. Happy charging. toothbrush Thomas Frank vermont...@gmail.com

Then the case battery is used first. When it goes dead, it automatically switches to the phone battery. I never take my phone out of the smart battery case. -----Original Message----- From: viphone@googlegroups.com <viphone@googlegroups.com> On Behalf Of Casey Sent: Saturday, December 14, 2019 4:35 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: the apple smart battery case Hi is anyone hear using the apple smart battery case? If so how long does your phone last when using it? And can you turn the case on and off for when you don't want to use up the case battery? Also can you charge the case and the phone at the same time? Or do you have to take the phone out of the case and then charge the phone on its own? Also how can you tell how much batter the case has left? Does it display on your phone? Now how long if you can charge the phone and the case at the same time since the phone has A lightning port and the case must be USB will that still charge the both at the same time? I have the iPhone 10 xr if that matters. -- Casey -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list.
