A reader writes:
Periodically a crop of paralegals departs the [name of prestigious
government agency omitted]. We give them a parting gift [with funds
contributed by the lawyers in the office]. Since almost all go to
law school, it has become a tradition to give them inscribed copies

The reader also asked me for [2]personally signed bookplates for the
books, which I was of course delighted to send.
