You are blaming this delay on the participants? Are you out of your mind?

No is to blame for the delay.

Let me amend that. While for the most part the delay is unavoidable . . .

Many authors submitted just at the deadline or right after it, and that delayed things. Several authors sent emergency changes after the deadline, which I should have ignored. I am still waiting for two or three authors to respond to e-mails asking for more information, such as which of the many institutions (or the same institution spelled different ways) they listed in different abstracts is actually their home institution. This is delaying thing. I will probably use my imagination and fill in the blanks for them, which may cause mistakes and petty resentment. And, finally, as I mentioned, several drama queens and know-it-all nitwits such as Krivit have circulated draft copies of documents causing confusion and delay, and asked inane questions, such as whether I "have been authorized to speak as a proxy for Nagel and/or Melich" and they have demanded that we conjure up extra hours in the 24-hour day, which would require slowing down the spin of the earth, I suppose. I wasted valuable time responding to these questions & demands.
