Yea. Well, I think the point you've put your finger on is we need to discuss what the priorities are for the next version. Obviously the lack of interesting content and a toolchain for creating/importing worlds into VOS is a big deal, and there's a lot of different directions we can go from there.

A little background: there hasn't been a lot of forward development for the past several months due to maintainance issues: adding some new VOS APIs dealing with plugins and loading/importing files, dealing with API changes in Crystal Space (they did a major rewrite of their event system), making the build system simpler, ensuring the Windows port is solid, and so forth. For the most part necessary, but not particularly exciting in terms of cool new features.

The good news is that we're reaching the end of this maintanace cycle, and that I hope to have a new release in 2-3 weeks. After that, we'll throw the gates open for new development. Since you've brought it up, now is a good time to begin the discussion now about where we want to go in the next version.

To start you off:
- Support for skeleton-based animation

Agreed. Actually, we need to do a whole design for animation in VOS in general, both skeletal and keyframe.

- Complete import/export support to and from blender, for both worlds
and avatars.

Exporting worlds from blender works, import does not. Since VOS doesn't have direct native animation support, you can't really do avatars yet.

- Physics.

Currently we do have a half-assed simple collision detection/gravity model provided by Crystal Space. It's not a complete rigid body physics engine like I wanted, but it's good enough.
