I can't get to any of the pages I need. I keep getting told that I need to log on when I try for any member-only pages, even though it says "Welcome, Carol" at the top of the home page. Has anyone else had this problem (and gotten it corrected)? Carol Davis McDonald AAUW St. Louis Branch ________________________________ From: "Woods-Clark, Peggy" <cla...@aauw.org> To: web managers <webmgrs@listsrv.aauw.org> Sent: Tue, March 19, 2013 8:54:56 AM Subject: ALERT: AAUW electric power shutdown and website blackout Good morning everyone. We wanted to give you sufficient heads up that on Saturday March, 30, 2013, an electric power outage for the national building will occur. The electricity to the building will be shut off at 6:00am ET on Saturday March, 30, 2013 and should be restored by 2:00 pm ET Saturday afternoon. This exercise is required by the District of Columbia in conjunction with the local power company. The purpose of the outage is switchgear inspection, testing, and cleaning. All of the electrical systems in the building will be tested. This means that there will be no access to www.aauw.org or associated websites during this period including Site Resources sites (BTWâ¦Site Resources sites will receive a message from Megan under separate cover regarding this and the status of the new site template.) We have confirmed that no state conventions are scheduled during this period, but please plan accordingly if this impacts any branch events. We apologize for the inconvenience and will notify you if anything changes. Peggy Woods-Clark Website Manager cla...@aauw.org You are currently subscribed to webmgrs as: davis-mcdon...@att.net. AAUW St. Louis Branch ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Subject: Using the MSD for renewals/webinar demos From: Nancy Shoemaker <shoema...@acm.org> Date: Fri, 22 Mar 2013 11:59:14 -0400 X-Message-Number: 3 Sorry I didn't see this before my 10 ET webinar where I was going to demo renewing online with the MSD. Fortunately everyone on the call was pretty MSD savvy, and that was just a small part of the discussion. Anyway, this brings up a few other points. * For those of you who aren't following http://twitter.com/bbvx, when I did test getting into the MSD earlier in the week, I found it was much simpler to use. The "single signon" and direct link to the MSD, http://www.aauw.org/resource/member-services-database/ make for very much simpler instructions at http://site.tarheel.aauwnc.org/join-now/renew/ * We in NC are planning a "what you can do with the MSD" webinar for branch treasurers. Does anyone have materials for that? * And what are we using for webinars? http://join.me -- dead simple for folks to "join" (no login, no download) and the $149/year account has provided all the features we need. [No recording, no webcam. The free account has almost all features that'd be needed.] See http://bit.ly/YKlrRw for my help file. There can be glitches for presenters, but the Join.Me/LogMeIn support is fabulous. -Nancy At 12:17 AM 3/22/2013, you wrote: >At this point, it doesn't matter. I can't get >to any of the pages I need. It was not planned, but the error has been corrected. The branch and state logos and the MSD are accessible again. Just in case you missed it in Thursday's Mission & Action, state and branch are now available for downloading via the MSD (http://www.aauw.org/resource/aauw-branding-tool-kit/). Just login to the site and click on the "State/Branch Logo" link in the left navigation of the MSD. The new national and state/branch logos, which come in a variety of formats, may be used only by members and AAUW-affiliated entities for official AAUW business. For questions about the new logo, e-mail conn...@aauw.org<mailto:conn...@aauw.org>.
