Hmm. Download counter is a tricky thing. How do you count the downloads is the first one. * only count full installsets * also count languagepacks and help * only count clicks from the curently viewed website (i.e. separate for each language) * count all nl-pages combined (but how to deal with nl-projects that either add direct links or use old-style download page, etc) * what do do with different versions? Throw everything into one big counter or count them separately. Not to mention that a download counter that counts website clicks will always underestimate the downloads since news-portals usually add direct download links instead of pointing to the download page, at least the non-english ones. > If you try to download Firefox (as of August 2012), when you click the > "Download" button you get redirected to a Thanks page which also includes a > newsletter form. The problem with redirecting is that you don't know whether that person will want to download the languagepack and/or helppack in addition. So whatever additional page is redirected to, that other page still needs to provide the additional downloads. What might be possible is to fade away the button that was clicked on and replace it with a "consider to donate" button or similar. ciao Christian -- Unsubscribe instructions: E-mail to website+h...@global.libreoffice.org Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/website/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted
