I am looking for advice on how to set up alerts. What I need specifically is this:
We have a 2 server cluster. The boxes are identical. Normally one runs SQL and the other Exchange. If one goes down the other takes over the service without a hitch. I can set up alerts when a service goes down easy enough but that doesnt tell me that the service has started up on the other cluster server. I want to know if the failover occured or if it just plain failed. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
