"A reorganization of a company or organization in order to improve its efficiency." Which of course is sometimes euphemistic. More detail in [[rationalization (economics)]], which seems to me also to be more tendentious in what it is saying. I was mainly thinking of the kind of discussion where you try to draw the line between "bells and whistles" and "core activities".
