   Ah ah! Then I may have useful information for you (although you may
already be aware of it).

   First you should try the latest winemaker. It will fix the CRLF and
case issues in the source plus a few other issues. Then it will generate
the necessary spec files and autoconf based makefiles. You can use the
version I posted on this list 1-2 weeks ago or wait until it is in CVS
(by next monday I hope).

   And you can browse the WineLib User Guide that I've been working on
too. It's not complete but it covers some of the portability issues,
plus it describes winemaker and the global WineLib environment.
