You guessed it... it was asking for my installation CD. No idea where there are, I installed Office years ago. As a developer, I'm now writing code to create an MSP. I really want to avoid this experience to my user. The SDK has some suggestions about what to avoid, but it's not always clear and maybe not complete. What I'd REALLY like is warnings from WiX or msimsp when the patch I create will require access to the original installation source.
