Hi, First, sorry for the late response.
I think it's best to use v2.0 of this SDK at: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/info.aspx?na=47&p=2&SrcDisplayLang=en &SrcCategoryId=&SrcFamilyId=cd11be5a-c735-48d9-9cdd-a6d211c2e1c1&u=detai ls.aspx%3ffamilyid%3d2A5E4EBC-651C-40AA-9525-1810AF47C317%26displaylang% 3den But another question arises from this; is it possible to use this SDK to build a bootstrapper for Wix applications? There is feature request in SF about this.. (See: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1511156&group_ id=105970&atid=642717 ) For this to be possible the Component Installer SDK should be more dynamically. Since it's a Microsoft product it is maintained by Microsoft so maybe someone inside Microsoft can put some pressure on the right persons for this to happen ;-) Or the Wix dev team can request to make these changes themselves (Ok, you guys are already busy till end next year at least ;) ) Just a thought, maybe worth a separate thread? Or a "No chance" from the beginning? It's a bootstrapper that will load many Microsoft components as prerequites including, among other things, DX9. It can install them either from the web or a CD and then run your MSI.
