There's three problems here: .NET 4.5.2 isn't supported on Win7 RTM, it has
a bug on x64 Win7 RTM (that may or may not be related to running on an
unsupported OS), and the engine hits the bug. I stayed away from "because
.NET 4.5.2 is not supported on Windows 7 RTM" because it's not exactly true
- it can't run/install because of the bug not because its unsupported.
Ideally, it would say
[WixBundleName] cannot run on Windows 7 RTM with .NET 4.5.2 because of the
issue described at [link].
But I can't find the bug reported anywhere.
For the "(or greater)" part, I personally don't expect Microsoft to fix
this bug. But hopefully they put the block in the next version, and it
wouldn't matter whether it said "(or greater)".
On a related note, that message is only in the English .wxl. Should we put
the English version in the other .wxl files, or run it through a machine
translation, or something else?
