I'm just playing around with my web application admin area and considering using frames so basically to start I'm just looking for thoughts/resources on the way forward (if there even is one) using frames.
My reasons for considering frames is that I have a php generated http://www.gazingus.org/html/Using_Lists_for_DHTML_Menus.html like list that expands/collapses and using a frame helps maintain the state of the menu without overcomplicating things.
I'm looking at the various options ( frames, iframes, object data=.. ) and it seems the simple frame is most appropriate, in particular because it can be resized. However, there are settings for frames that are clearly presentation (e.g. borders) so should I be ignoring those and styling a frameset much as you would a body tag type approach?
