I went to the link posted (not the pixy one - the alistapart one) and there was no flicker.
Nor did it see that background-position was being used.
Then, after reading this last post, I went to the pixy link (which does use background-position). No flicker there either.
I'm using IE 6.
Did I miss something ??
"The cause of flickering is choosing "Every visit to page" in Tools » Internet Options... » Temporary Internet Files » Settings... " Perhaps yours is set to "Automatic" or something else....
