*Martini Cup IV, 17–18 December 2011, Groningen, The Netherlands* ** YES!! The preparations for the Martinicup IV are in full swing! This amazing indoor frisbee event will take place again in Groningen (Netherlands) on 17-18 December 2011. And the registrations are open NOW!
We have room for *40 teams*, divided in *three divisions*: - WannaBoys (high level open division) - WannaBabes (high level womens division) - WannaBe's (mixed and social division - teams who don't play official COED can't get to top-4 positions) We've got a top location for this tournament. Four playing fields, a huge canteen for eating and partying and some extra halls for sleeping. And all that in just one building! Sports Centre Leek, about 20 km from the city of Groningen, hometown of Gronical Dizziness. We offer free pick up from the central station of Groningen. As you may have guessed, the theme of this years Martinicup is '*WannaB*'. And of course there will be a crazy party, with the theme: 'What you used to WannaB'. So come dressed up as your one time dream profession: fireman, astronaut, acrobat, lion tamer, or whatever you always wanted to be. Or still want to be... The teamfee will be €130 and playersfee €30, which includes playing, sleeping (Fri+Sat), eating (breakfast Sat+Sun and dinner Sat) and party. The Martinicup organisation *About the Martinicup* The Martinicup is the biggest indoor ultimate frisbee tournament in the Netherlands and one of the largest in Europe. As far as we know, the Martinicup currently is the only indoor tournament featuring an open, women and mixed division, as well as giving room to social teams. There will be enough playing time for each team, and a good party of course. The sports centre <http://www.martinicup.nl/venue.php> where the tournament will be, has 4 full-sized indoor pitches. Playing, partying and sleeping are all in this sports centre. Groningen, being situated in the North of the Netherlands, is the ideal spot for teams from Scandinavia, Germany, Belgium, France, Great Britain and the rest of Europe to get together. The city has good accessibility from both the north and the south by car and train. Groningen is two to three hours from the airports of Amsterdam, Bremen and Düsseldorf by car or train. Direct busses <http://www.publicexpress.de/> run from Bremen to Groningen. The tournament is named after the landmark church tower<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martinitoren> and the patron saint of the city of Groningen, Saint Martin. Groningen is also called the Martini city.
